Tridents triumph

BARBADOS HAVEĀ got their Scotiabank Caribbean Football Union Caribbean Cup campaign off to the perfect start.

The Tridents defeated an experienced Curacao 1-0 last Wednesday night at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex to go to the top of Group Four which also includes the Dominican Republic.

The three very important points will be just what the Barbados camp needed as they face Dominican Republic away from home next Tuesday.

With a large and supportive crowd on hand, including leader of the Barbados Labour Party Mia Mottley, the Tridents played with tenacity, courage and hunger against a Curacao team which is made up of full-time professional footballers.
