Man injured in robbery at Esso Tweedside
POLICE ARE TODAY investigating a robbery at the Tweedside Road gas station in St Michael.
Witnesses told NATION Online around 5:45 this morning, a man, armed with a cutlass, robbed and injured a male attendant of an estimated $200.
It is understood, what could have been a worse injury was quelled when by-standers were made aware of the incident and rushed to the attendant’s assistance, fending off the attacker.
The good Samaritans chased the robber, but he eventually escaped. The attendant is said to be “okay” as the injury received was not life threatening, however he is still a bit shaken. (SDB Media)
