THE BEST retro and classic cars caught the eye Sunday when the Retro and Classic Car Club staged its first show for the year.

Called Retro Mania, the four-hour exhibition showcased the best kept MGs, Volkswagen Beetles, Toyota Truenos, classic BMWs, Audi, Daihatsu Charmants and other cars of the club members and other car enthusiasts at the Goddards Building car park in Haggatt Hall, St Michael. It was held in conjunction with Sagicor General Insurance and Carter’s Pit Stop.

Secretary/treasurer of the Club, David Browne, said 70 cars and their owners were expected, with the cars ranging from the years 1970 to 2000.

Within the first hour, 25 cars were on display. Courtesy Garage was also showing two of the garage’s cars and its battery line, while Caribbean Powder Coating was showcasing its line of powder-coating finishes. (HLH)
