St Ann residents kill two alleged goat thieves

ST ANN, Jamaica — Two men were killed by angry residents in Bensonton, Claremont on Thursday afternoon as they attempted to leave the community with a goat, which was allegedly stolen.

Reports are that at about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, two men were seen leaving the community with a goat in a car. The residents intercepted the vehicle and the men ran. The residents gave chase and one of the men was held beaten and the other’s throat slashed. The police were summoned and the two men taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The police are now appealing to anyone who may be able to provide information on the incident or to identify the dead men to contact the police.  (Jamaica Observer)
