Septums all the rage

Septum piercings are now a popular trend with young people across the island.

It has become even more popular since local superstar sensation Rihanna and other Hollywood celebrities have been seen sporting them. Entertainers such as Simon Pipe, his wife Carly, and model Clinton and Junior Sealy have been spotted wearing them. 

Curious about what is a septum piercing? A septum piercing is done through the columella of the nose, which is the area that separates the nostril. Rings vary, but the most popular ones are the horseshoe or the eternity rings.  

A SATURDAY SUN team hit the pavement recently  to get the ‘S’ on septums and what they meant for young people.
