Warning to illegal dumpers

ILLEGAL DUMPERS BEWARE!

Health officials are policing the island, and those found guilty will be prosecuted.

That warning came yesterday from principal environmental health officer at the St Philip Polyclinic, Maurice Gaskin, who was speaking to the SUNDAY SUN during the second distribution of rat bait in this current exercise.

“It is against the Health Services Regulations to dump illegally,” Gaskin said.

Noting that there were no particular areas of concentration, Gaskin said they had identified about 370 illegal dumping sites across the country last year, and the number could have grown since then.
