FORMER CABINET MINISTER Noel Lynch was yesterday officially unveiled as the new chief executive officer of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).

Lynch, a former Minister of Tourism and International Transport, takes over from interim CEO David Deane. Yesterday at a press conference to make the announcement, Lynch said he was looking forward to his new assignment.

“This is a new step in my own professional career. People that know me will tell you that I have a passion for sports and sports development and what sports can do for our overall national development,” he said.

“I’ve done a lot in sports administration, not necessarily in cricket, but having been a Barbados national representative in another discipline I believe that I can bring some of that expertise, some of that knowledge and training to the Barbados Cricket Association.” (PG)
