Aramintha celebrates 100th birthday

THERE IS A festive atmosphere at the Achazia Retirement Home at #21 Cliff Meadows, Cliff, St John today.

The other 21 residents, staff, family and friends of birthday girl Aramintha Inez Tull are all celebrating her milestone of 100 years old.

A highlight of the festivities was a visit by Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave, who shared in a toast with the special lady.

Always the singer “Tull”, as she is affectionately by staff, teamed up with Daphne Bayne and Doreen Straker, who sang under her, in the seven-member group titled Harmony Voices to serenade Sir Elliott and her other well-wishers with pieces of a few popular songs. (YB)
