PRIME MINISTER FREUNDEL STUART has rubbished the threat of a no-confidence motion by the Opposition, saying the move has nothing to do with his Government or its performance.

Rather, he accused Opposition Leader Mia Mottley of using the tactic to weed out her opponents from within the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) ranks.

He told supporters gathered at Bay Primary School last night in his St Michael South constituency that there would be a “carnival of expulsions” if members of her parliamentary group voted against her.

“The constitution of the Barbados Labour Party requires that Miss Mottley not stand for office as chairman of the Barbados Labour Party at the upcoming party conference, according to my advice,” he said.
