Police charge two in connection with $2 million drug seizure

POLICE HAVE ARRESTED and jointly charged two men in relation to the drug seizure which occurred on Friday about ten nautical miles off Carlisle Bay. 

They are 36-year-old Glyne Leroy Carter of Odessa McClean Road, My Lord’s Hill, St Michael; and Oswald Obrien Pitt, 33, of Pinders Gap, Howell Cross Road, St Michael.

Carter and Pitt will appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

The drugs had a street value of approximately $2 million. (PR/NB)
