OPPORTUNITIES ARE ABOUT to be delivered at superfast speeds to Caribbean entrepreneurs.
Cable & Wireless (C&W) Business has joined forces with The Entrepreneurial Network (TEN) to deliver the first Caribbean Start-Up Summit – an innovative forum that will bring together a global community of experts and business support to help regional entrepreneurs succeed in their start-up journey.
During the two-day event, which will be staged at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on April 29 and 30, a total of 15 speakers from Barbados, the wider Caribbean, North America, Canada, the United Kingdom and Africa will make presentations to delegates on a wide range of business topics.
“C&W Business was created to help local companies improve productivity, streamline efficiencies and exploit the opportunities of tomorrow today. For quite some time, we have been laying the foundations for a truly connected environment and this means that opportunities for personal and commercial growth can now be delivered at superfast speeds,” said Jaggernauth Dass, vice-president, C&W Business.
He was speaking at the offices of C&W Business in Warrens during the recent launch for the summit.
“As a company, C&W Business is also motivated to expand its understanding of the numerous ways in which the core services we offer can create prospects for socio-economic growth. We do this because we believe that our ability to influence a society in a positive way feeds directly into our own success as an organisation.
“We also believe that partnerships such as the one that we have with TEN affords us the opportunity to impact mass audiences at every level in society, which in turn allows us to make good on our promise of ‘connecting communities’ and ‘transforming lives’.”
Selwyn Cambridge, co-founder of TEN, said the summit would provide delegates with workshops, open forums and live link-ups, along with opportunities to pitch business ideas to potential investors.
“This event will provide entrepreneurs with two days of inspiration, insight and world-class advice on building a successful business,” he said. (PR)
