Garage torn down

BIG OR SMALL, rich or poor, the Town and Country Planning Department will not be tolerating anyone who erects illegal structures.

For the second time within a few weeks, with the help of Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) workers, the department yesterday tore down an illegally-built structure at Diamond Avenue, Rock Dundo, St Michael.

Speaking to the SATURDAY SUN, a town planning official said an unauthorised extension to a garage, which was close to the house’s boundary line, had to be removed.

During a previous operation a few weeks ago in Jackson, St Michael, a few members of that community had expressed concern that they were being targeted due to their economic class.
