RESIDENTS OF VAUXHALL, Christ Church, are not known for their boisterous or outlandish behaviour. In fact, they are a quiet close-knit community.

But Thursday night, for many of the residents, that silence was shattered when the sounds of gunshots rang through the former block known as Vietnam, and shortly thereafter the sounds of sirens pierced the stillness of the night just after 7.

When the smoke had cleared, three men, one from the community, another reported to be from Bayville, St Michael, and one other, were left nursing gunshot wounds.

One of the wounded, 19-year-old Raheem Farnum, speaking to the SATURDAY SUN at his home after he was discharged from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) yesterday, recounted the incident.
