THIS EVENING’S Digicel Premier League fixtures have some serious implications for all involved.

When the action kicks off at 4 p.m. at the Barbados Football Association (BFA) Wildey AstroTurf, University of the West Indies (UWI) will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the standings with a victory over Phone Medic Repair Belfield.

Belfield are expected to put up a fight, because three points can aid in their cause for premiership survival.

How Belfield’s defence copes with the likes of Mario Harte, Jairo Lombardo and Shomari Mark will be a huge factor in the result of the match.

Reigning champions Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme (BDFSP) find themselves four points off the leaders and they would want to close that gap with a win over struggling Claytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame. (ROG)
