On track for record

A 50 SECONDS track record is on the cards for Bushy Park today at the inaugural Barbados Festival Of Speed.

And the driver charged with that responsibility is reigning World Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton.

The champion will also be kept busy as he takes on challenges from former British Superbike champion Tommy Hill, local rallying legend Roger “The Sheriff” Skeete and the 2.01-kilometre Bushy Park circuit at the wheel of a Mercedes Petronas AMG W04/13.

It will only be his second visit to the well-known circuit after travelling more than 10 000 miles from the Grand Prix of Russia where he finished second to teammate Nico Rosberg.
