ZRs stuck

THE BALL is in the court of traffic management officials as route taxi operators and owners await the newest round of negotiations they hope will resume this week.

But their spokesman has not ruled out industrial action, even though it is not currently on the table.

Last night some owners and operators in the Alliance Owners of Public Transport Inc. gathered at the National Union of Public Workers’ (NUPW) Dalkeith, St Michael headquarters in a meeting chaired by industrial relations officer Roger Gibson.

On the agenda was the rerouting of public service vehicles through Baxters Road, the “disembarking passengers only” bus stop on Tudor Street, as well as changing the route of the Sugar Hill, St Joseph (3W) route taxis.
