A DAY THAT started like any other for Mark Butcher inexplicably ended with a broken-down door, $600 missing and a ransacked house.

And while the Cotton House Club, Church Village, St Philip resident was away from home when the incident occurred, neighbours who saw the unannounced entry reported that it was the police who did the entering.

Speaking to the WEEKEND NATION yesterday, the 46-year-old Butcher said that his day had started like any other, as he began it by dropping his daughter off at the nursery.
