BMEX delight

HUNDREDS OF SCHOOLCHILDREN got a glimpse of industry at work when they attended the Barbados Manufacturers’ Exhibition (BMEX) 2016 yesterday.

From as early as 10 a.m. the youngsters lined up outside the doors of the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre eager to get an early look at the well laid out booths, especially the one that featured the locally televised Zana series; a big hit among the primary schoolchildren.

Oji Ra of Westbury Primary School, a little green finger in the making, was especially happy with the film. He rattled off the names of many plants he was proud to take care of, including basil, thyme and marjoram.

An entirely edible chattel house from five-year-old company, The Lady Caker, was also a hit. (MR)
