THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE and every member of the top rank in the Royal Barbados Police Force are acting in their positions.

This is the state of affairs facing the police force for the first time in its long history.

These include commissioner, deputy commissioner, assistant commissioner, senior superintendent, superintendent, assistant superintendent, inspector, station sergeant and sergeant.

Tyrone Griffith has been Acting Commissioner since 2013 when he took over from Darwin Dottin, while Acting Deputy Commissioner Oral Williams began performing the duties last year following the retirement of Seymour Cumberbatch, who was also acting.
