THE BARBADOS REVENUE Authority (BRA) has launched a major effort to recover thousands of dollars in land taxes owed to the state.

In three full-page advertisements in today’s MIDWEEK NATION, BRA Revenue Commissioner Margaret Sivers announced the auction of 28 properties starting next Friday and continuing to August 4.

Among the properties set for sale because of back taxes is the property now occupied by TriMart Supermarket at St Martin’s, St Philip. The 64 435 square feet of property is owned by PS Budget Foods Ltd and leased to the supermarket chain.

Another property up for sale by the BRA is the One Accord Plaza at Warrens, St Michael. It is owned by J & D Hardware Supplies Ltd and includes 58 869 square feet. (GE)
