Levi books ticket to Rio
THE SMALL matter of clocking 20.50 seconds in the 200 metres has secured a spot for Levi Cadogan on the Barbados Olympic team for Rio.
Cadogan achieved the feat in hammering the field on the final day of the Austin Sealy Classic at the National Stadium on Sunday.
He completed the double, having won the 100 metres on Saturday but nothing was sweeter than qualifying for the Olympics.
“I had a lot of faith on today because going into the 100 metres wasn’t a bad race so I knew if I had another good day I would qualify for the Olympics.”
He was reluctant to project what times he wants to achieve in the sprints before Olympics. (AT)
