Jessica’s navel string ‘right here’

NO MATTER WHERE Jessica Odle-Baril lives, she will never lose the sense or sight of her roots.

 “For me, to be a Barbadian means to have that sense of the navel string really connected and all things connected to Barbados become a central part of my very being,” said the woman who has represented this country overseas at the diplomatic level.

“I live outside but this rock is home. Regardless of whatever circumstances may be presenting in Barbados, when I land here there is this tremendous happiness at coming home.” Jessica said.

She now resides in the United States with her Haitian-born husband Robert Baril but her heart is always just a thought away from the land of her birth.
