ASHLEY NURSE is putting his hand up.

He may not have played a game yet, but the off-spinner says he’s more than ready to contribute in this BallR tri-nation series after appearing eager to make a possible West Indies ODI debut here at home this week.

Nurse made the comments during yesterday’s net session at the 3Ws Oval as a likely replacement for out-of-form pacer Jerome Taylor, who was dropped from the 14-man squad.

“My game is in a good place at the moment as I’m putting in the hard yards. It’s just about getting the opportunity to showcase my talent and as I said if I get the opportunity to make my debut then I’m just going to put my best foot forward,” said the 27-year-old Nurse.
