UWI Blackbirds ‘B’ upset Pride of Villa

UWI BLACKBIRDS ‘B’ haven’t had an easy flight for the season, but certainly got a chance to spread their wings on Monday night with an upset win over Guardian General Pride of Villa.

Though the ‘B’ team will not be holding a top spot beside impressive Blackbirds ‘A’ clubmates, they managed to soar above Pride of Villa with a 46-43 win at the Netball Stadium.

Blackbirds ‘B’ now have a total of 16 points with a 2/6 record. Pride of Villa, now stand at 28 points with a 5/3 record.

For the Blackbirds, the lanky Rhea Bryant scored an outstanding 37 goals from her 45 attempts and was supported by Shakellia Smith, who netted seven of 13 and Monique James with two of five.
