TWENTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD Sasha Craigg cried, in shock, as she was announced Miss Plus Size Diva Barbados.

Craigg, of Airy Hill, St Joseph, who was sponsored by Nulook Company, beat out five competitors to walk away with the crown and a range of prizes at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Sunday night.

“I am so overwhelmed. It feels surreal. I still don’t believe that this happened. It’s an amazing feeling. All the hard work, the time, dedication paid off and I’m extremely happy,” she told the DAILY NATION.

She also won the Social Diva category and will now represent Barbados at the Miss Plus Size Universe in Trinidad.

Her prizes included $1 500 in cash, an Omega necklace, Anne Klein watch, Mini iPad, Samsung J7, a voucher trip to any destination for one, dinner for two at Elegant Hotels, a US $100 gift voucher, a sunset cruise, cupcakes, a pedicure and manicure. (WILLCOMM)
