PINE HILL St Barnabas are the Barbados Netball Association’s Division 6 netball champions for 2016.
The queens defeated Guardian General Pride of Villa 22-13 in their second play-off game at the Netball Stadium on Wednesday.
The win was again piloted by St Barnabas’ lanky goal shooter Tyra Holder, who netted 18 of her 27 attempts, and the diminutive Shonica Griffith, who sankfour from nine.
Pride of Villa came into the first quarter with a strong midcourt line-up, which forced St Barnabas into making a number of errors. Pride of Villa held a 9-7 lead at the end of the quarter. (RG)
