Lucky Adventure for Hughes

APPRENTICE  jockey Rasheed Hughes continued his sublime form yesterday at the Garrison Savannah when he booted home a hat-trick on the Barbados Turf Club’s Crop Over Festival Raceday.

He shared a double with trainer Mark Armstrong as two fellow trainers in Jonathon Simpson and Edward Walcott also landed a brace.

In the day’s feature event, the Crop Over Festival Handicap for three-year-olds and older horses rated 140-120 and below, Hughes patiently reignited the winning formula for the H and M-owned gelding Lucky Adventure for trainer Boston John.

The pair, after initially stalking early leader Markos, picked up the running just past the three-furlong marker and never looked threatened until entering the homestretch when Dazzlin David appeared on the outside.
