Calypso semis underway at stadium

THE MQI/MOUNT Gay Pic-O-De-Crop Semifinals is off to a great start.

A large crowd gathered at the National Stadium the old home of the competition.

Jamal JSlo Slocombe was the first to hit the stage and another member of the young brigade, Sammy G, will close the show.

The 18 semifinalists are vying for a spot among the nine who will face king Classic on Saturday, July 30. (TTY)
