Holder admits WI must do better
in Antigua
LEADING FROM the front and by example is something young West Indies’ captain Jason Holder would surely love to do.
But he admitted both he and fellow all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, who have done better as lower order batsmen, must start by taking wickets consistently in Test cricket.
Neither took a wicket in the first Test at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium when India piled up 566 for eight declared and went on to win by an innings and 92 runs.
“To be fair, myself and Carlos, we were going well up to a certain point in terms of what our roles are in holding the innings together and trying to pick up one or two wickets,” Holder said in a post-match interview. (EZS)
