DEAR CHRISTINE, was in love with a guy for almost six years and I knew that he loved me.

We had a beautiful relationship until he bought a new car. He then started seeing many other women and was forgotten. Since then I find it difficult to love anyonethe way I loved him.

Recently, he asked me to have him back and I have been seeing him. However, I have the feeling that there is someone else as his visits are not very regular.

A few weeks ago I met a really nice guy who is interested in me. I also tend to like him but I am afraid of being hurt again. I also still love my former boyfriend. Do you think our past relationship could seriously begin again?

Dear D.L,

I personally do not feel he is back for any more reason than to have you among his list of lady companions – to put it mildly. You can sense this because his visits are not very regular. I think it is high time (six years) for him to know whether he cares enough to marry you or not. If he does not, what’s the point of hanging on to him?
