DIGICEL BARBADOS HAS signed one of Barbados’ extraordinary track stars as the company’s newest ambassador. He is Levi Cadogan, who is scheduled to compete in Rio this month.
Cadogan has been identified as one of Barbados’ best medal hopefuls since Obadele Thompson in the Sydney Games 16 years ago. The medal hopeful holds personal bests of 10.06 and 20.45 seconds in the 100 and 200 metre races, respectively.
The athlete and his coach Gabriel Burnett are excited about his prospects. The pair is slated to leave the island this week, having been equipped by Digicel with the latest handset, the Samsung S7 Edge, in order to keep in contact with friends and family at home, as well as to document their experiences on social media. The company has also provided Cadogan with funds to assist on his journey.
