Power company apologises for outage

THE BARBADOS LIGHT & Power Company has apologised to customers who were affected by a power outage yesterday. 

The outage was caused by a fault at one of the generating stations and it is being investigated, the company said in a release.

Approximately ten per cent of the utility’s customers were impacted for periods up to two hours. There was complete restoration of service shortly after 11 p.m.

Light & Power said it remains committed to providing energy and energy services that are cost-effective and reliable in Barbados. (PR/NB)
