Coach sure of Pine’s return

THE CHAMPS won’t be one and done.

So says player/coach Sade Clarke, who guaranteed Braddies Bar and Everyday Signs Pinelands will be back next season to defend their league title despite being formed on the fly.

Clarke made the assurance just moments after the “thrown together” Pine completed last Thursday’s 68-55 Game 3 victory over Combined Schools Hoopsters in the No. 1 Beauty Supplies and Beauty Exchange women’s finals at the Barbados Community College.

“I made sure to bring in some newcomers because I didn’t want the team to come and play this year and then finish next year so we have two netballers and a volleyballer,” explained Clarke. (JM)
