Fogging schedule August 15 to 18

THE VECTOR CONTROL Unit of the Ministry of Health continues its fogging programme next week aimed at controlling the Aedes Aegypti mosquito population.On Monday, August 15, the team will be in Christ Church, where areas to be fogged include  Enterprise Coast Road, Atlantic Shores, Rollins Road, Bournes Land, Goodland Gardens, Silver Sands Housing Area and the environs.

On Tuesday, August 16, areas in St Michael to be fogged are Parkinson Field, Field Road, Rock Avenue, Rock Close, Bottom Close, Factory Avenue, Pine East West Boulevard, Regent Hill, Phillips Road, Midway Lane, Newton Crescent, North Wildey Terrace with Avenues and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, August 17, the exercise will move to St Thomas, where Canewood Road, Sunflower Close, Platinum Avenue, Cane Garden, Ginger Lily, Bibby’s Lane with Avenues and the environs will be sprayed.

Areas in Christ Church to be targeted on Thursday, August 14, are Sargeant Village, Bartlett Road, Brownes Road, Smith Road, Vauxhall Road, Vauxhall Tenantry with Avenues and neighbouring districts.

Fogging will be carried out from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily, and householders are reminded to open windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Persons with respiratory problems are advised to protect themselves and children should not play in the fog. (JS/BGIS)
