Hyatt ‘good for The City’
IF GOVERNMENT SENATOR Jepter Ince has his way, not only would the Hyatt hotel be built in Bridgetown, but The City would also be transformed with condominiums and high-rise hotels.
During the lunchtime lecture yesterday, the senator said Bridgetown was in need of life and projects such as the Hyatt was just what the doctor ordered.
“Bridgetown needs reviving, it is a ghost town after 5:30 p.m. save for traffic and people leaving. We need brand[ing]. We need to bring back life to The City. We were supposed to have the development of the pier head – a private sector project – but nothing happened. That hotel is going to add [life],” he said.
Ince said he would like the development to go even further and create an entire stretch reaching throughout The City. (CA)
