Lynch: Improve marketing of Speightstown
FORMER MINISTER of Tourism Noel Lynch is calling for more incentives and new marketing techniques to promote Speightstown, St Peter.
He was speaking during a panel discussion organised by the St Peter Parish Independence Committee which was held at the Almond Beach Village.
Lynch questioned why there was no app to promote the northern town and said that incentives should be offered to taxi men to get them to make the cross country trek.
The discussion was moderated by former deputy chairman of the now defunct Barbados Tourism Authority Austin Husbands.
The other panelists included chairman of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association Roseanne Myers, director of business development of the Mango Bay Group Colin Jordan and watersports operator Tony Babb. (TG)
