NO CHARGES WILL be brought against the mothers of two children who were photographed on a bed bound with strips of cloth.

Police public relations officer Acting Station Sergeant Roland Cobbler said this decision came after police conducted an investigation in conjunction with the Child Care Board.

“As a result of these investigations, no charges were proffered against the two individual parents of the children. Our investigations revealed that there was no neglect or abuse of the children. However, personnel from the Child Care Board will continue to work with the two families,” Cobbler said.

The photo of the boy and girl were posted on social media yesterday and the story was carried on the back page of today’s DAILY NATION. (PR/NB)
