ALL SIX Bajans who were part of the successful West Indies Women World Twenty20 cricket team have been in a 18-member squad to attend a training camp in Jamaica next month.
The experienced Deandra Dottin and Shakera Selman are joined by Kycia Knight, all-rounders Shaquana Quintyne and Hayley Matthews and fast bowler Shamilia Connell.
Two newcomers have also been called up for the camp, which will be held from September 16 to 30 ahead of the upcoming One-day International home series against England.
The first-timers are 30-year-old Guyanese all-rounder Erva Giddings and Grenadian Akeira Peters, a 22-year-old left-arm medium-pacer.
The camp invitees were selected after the recent rain-ruined regional tournament Guyana and chairman of the selection panel Courtney Browne said the squad will be reduced to 13 for the England series. (EZS)
