Brothers worse off
TWO YEARS AFTER their first public appeal for help, brothers Gabriel and Alfred Bishop are hoping to get better results the second time around.
After years of living in conditions not even fit for rats, the two Sion Hill, St James men were forced to once again reach out in a bid to escape the shack they called home.
The broken floor has caved in; dozens of plastic bottles are now in the hundreds, and the lone cat that called the ramshackle settlement home was not enough to battle the rats and vermin that neighbours said overrun the bush surrounding the house.
They are still without indoor plumbing, toilets, running water or electricity.
Speaking to the DAILY NATION on the steps of his neighbour, Gabriel said the place they called home was not fit for him and his brother to live. (AD)
