DVD sales dip
The SATURDAY SUN recently spoke to several self-proclaimed hustlers who have about 36 years’ experience among them selling the discs on the streets, especially in the secondary shopping area of Swan Street, The City.
Dave Carrington, a seller of over five years along the bustling Swan Street, said he was “still surviving out here but right now DVDs do not sell like one time because everybody has Show Box, everybody got Flow TV, Fire Stick and Magic Jack,” he said.
“From 2013 I started to experience some losses. From the time I started I used to make over $2 000 a week and on a good day like $1 500. Now I would make like $400 or $500 a week. But the way how the economy is, it has everybody cutting back on spending,” he said. (SB)
