Police clear courtyard

THEIR APPEARANCE BEFORE a magistrate yesterday seemed set to generate as much public interest as the leaked security video of the execution for whichthey have been charged – but lawmen were having none of it.

Moments before Jason Shamin Blenman, 20, of Pounders Road, Bush Hall; Stefan Akobi Nkosi Branch, 21, of Richmond Gap; Hakeem Deshon Jeremy Griffith, 22, of Well Gap, Cave Hill; and Kiastan Hallam Clarke, 23, of 2nd Avenue, Green Hill, all in St Michael, were to make their first appearance on a murder charge, authorities removed all onlookers from the court compound.

As whispers swirled about the pending arrival of the four men, charged with the execution-style murder of taxi driver Ricardo Anthony “Rick Rick” Bryan on September 1 outside Lucky Horseshoe restaurant in Warrens,St Michael, police moved to ensure the usual spectacle did not emerge. (TKS)
