Water warning

COMMUNITY ACTIVIST Andrew Dixon, father of a child who attends St Joseph’s Primary School, is hoping running water will be restored to the students. If not, he and other parents will be greeting the Ministry of Education with protests outside the school tomorrow.

“We do not intend to have the teachers teach and the students try to learn in the situation. It is folly,” Dixon told the DAILY NATION yesterday.

He said parents wanted the ministry to fix and fill the two water tanks at the school so students and teachers could operate in peace; at least until the water issues plaguing the parish were resolved.

The Horse Hill, St Joseph school closed early because of a water outage on Tuesday, the second day of the new school year. (LK)
