POLICE ARE REMINDING people who plan to host events that they must apply for police services and relevant licences in a timely manner to avoid disappointment.

Event promoters are further reminded that they should consult with the police before finalising arrangements with the Copyright Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (COSCAP) or other entities.

For minor events such as karaoke, all applications must be made to the police four weeks before the event.

Applications for major events must be made three months prior to the event. (PR/NB)
