SDA ‘ready’ for sixth form
THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST (SDA) Secondary School is ready to expand to a sixth form institution.
While noting that most of their students follow a set stream, deputy principal Andrew Yearwood said the SDA is open to the idea mooted by Minister of Education Ronald Jones of extending the sixth form reach into private secondary schools.
Eight public secondary schools currently offer sixth form education.
“At the moment we would be ready if, and when, that comes. But at the moment our students, when they leave us go on to USC (University of the Southern Caribbean) for their tertiary education,” he said. (YB)
