SHAMARH BROOKS is looking to enhance his cricketing career on the forthcoming West Indies ‘A’ team tour of Sri Lanka.
The Barbadian batsman has been chosen to captain the regional side for the four-day segment of the tour and considers it “an honour to lead the region”.
“I guess captaining the region at any level is always a privilege. I have been doing this from young, so I am accustomed to this. The majority of the players on the team I would have led at the youth level or when we came to the Sagicor High Performance Centre. It is indeed a wonderful feeling,” he told WEEKENDSPORT.
This is the 27-year-old’s first tour on the ‘A’ team outside of the region, and he has set himself some personal goals to accomplish while on tour. (RA)
