New prostate scanner to be used soon
THE $58 000 prostate ultrasound scanner donated to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital six months ago by the Barbados Cancer Society should soon be put to use.

A source had pointed out that QEH technicians had said they could not get the machine started. Technicians were then brought in from Trinidad and left detailed operating instructions.
In an update, Julie Carrington, corporate communications specialist at the QEH, said the machine would be put to use as soon as the QEH’s screening clinic is “up and running”. (MB)
