Show more love, says AG

AS BARBADIANS CALL for authorities to be tougher on criminals, Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite says it is time to show more love.

Brathwaite made the point as he responded to a question posed to him about the arrest and remand of convicted killer Peter Bradshaw on gun and ammunition charges just six months after his release from Dodds Prison where he spent three decades.

He quoted the lyrics from Jamaican reggae singer Ernie Smith’s song All For Jesus: “Nuh matter if you t’ief, or if you dread, or if yuh have a crown pon yuh head. Nuh matter if you have no heart at all, Jesus bring love for one and all.” 

The attorney general had originally said he did not wish to give remarks during the church service and parade at the Church of the Holy Trinity, St Philip, to mark the commencement of the Prison Service’s week of activities.
