THE SHORTAGE of cricket coaches at the National Sports Council (NSC) is finally coming to an end.
Five new coaches are set to come to the crease at the state-run institution from early next month, headed by former Barbados captain and West Indies opener Sherwin Campbell.
Last season’s Barbados Pride team manager and former ICC Americas regional development officer Wendell Coppin is also set to return to the NSC.
Investigations by NATIONSPORT also reveal that the other coaches, who have been given their letters of appointment, are one-time former Barbados batsman Shirley Clarke, Carlos Merritt, a physical education teacher at Ellerslie and Barbados and West Indies’ women’s cricketer Shakera Selman. (EZS)
