Body of missing man found

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING the unnatural death of 79-year-old Gordon Belfield Alleyne.

The Church Gap, Hillaby, St Thomas resident who was suffering from Alzheimer’s, was reported missing on Tuesday.

He was discovered in a ravine in the district where he lived by a search party which included police officers and family members around 8:20 a.m. today.

The Barbados Fire Service was summoned to assist in bringing the body from the ravine.

Police also reminded family members and individuals who are providing care for persons suffering from Alzheimer’s to utilise all of the resources available to give to support to those in their care. (PR/SAT)
