Equipment failure at Molyneux affects surrounding BWA customers

THE BARBADOS WATER AUTHORITY is experiencing equipment failure at its Molyneux Pumping Station in St James.

As a result, residents and businesses in Bagatelle, Redman’s Village, Sion Hill, Welches and surrounding districts ‎in St Thomas and St James will experience low water pressure or outages.

The equipment failure has caused a reduction in pumping to areas in the higher elevations that feed off this system.

The Authority intends to replace the damaged equipment and the new parts are currently being delivered in order to expedite repairs.

Water Tankers will assist ‎all affected areas but some delays may occur due to heavy demand.

The Barbados Water Authority apologises for the inconvenience and assures its valued customers that it is doing everything possible to rectify the problem.  (PR)
